Bali: Kuta beach, Tuban, Sukawati, Jimbaran, Bajra Sandhi Monument…what a nice place…

salam.

I wanna talk about several places in Bali (after last week I went there), and ofcourse it’s exotic culinary.

On my first day in Bali, I spend a time to walk a long the coast, from kuta beach to Tuban (try to find a “masjid” and I found it ^_^). On the middle of walk, I found an interesting food. Here it is…

Fried Pigeon + Plecing Kangkung.

Yummy… I don’t know weather I was starving at that time or it’s first time I ate this kind of food, but seriously this food is so beautiful in my tongue. The pigeon is so soft and melted in my mouth. The sauce is so delicious. Not too hot.. but it’s very tasty. My if you go to Bali.. you must try it

Es Degan or Coconut Ice. This kind of drink is always make me nuts. A pure coconut and it’s water, add some Ice and “jeruk nipis” (a kind of orange) produce an unic taste. All my thirst are gone in a second.

Ok then, on the second day I just rest on my hotel and do my work so in the next day I can have more spare time to travel. That’s the plan A, but the fact is, on the third day we conduct the meeting untill 4 PM.  -_-’

But, I’m not wasting my precious time in this Paradise Island. After finish all my work, we went to Sukawati to find a little souvenir made from silver. Just so you know, Sukawati is central of silver handmade in Bali. And fortunately, I took some picture when they work to manufacture ornamentation on their place. Here we are:

Two Pictures above are the silver art place named “Sari Dewi” located on Sukowati, Bali.

Those pictures above show us the tools and raw materials used to make silver art ornamentation.

And the last pictures above are silver art processes: ornamenting, burning, and smoothing ( I don’t know these processes is correct or not, it’s just my own opinion)

After Silver ornamentation reportation, I’m heading to my Friend’s house, and guess what… we went to Jimbaran, one of the best culinary place on my list.

Jimbaran

It’s located on southern coast Bali. A restaurant with a lot of delicious sea food, right at the Jimbaran coast. With my friend, I found the nearest table from the sea and took some picture on it. These is the picture:

We ordered a Flying Fish (I forgot the name) and some shell. It was cooked with “asam manis” spices balinesse style. At that time, I don’t wanna go to anywhere else except sit and stairing at the sea with a little wave till the morning came. It’s so peacefull.

above is a cozy night at jimbaran, I’m not surprised if foreigner from all the world are heading at this place all the time.

With live music performance from “pengamen” (that’s the way we called street musician here) Jimbaran was so “cozier”.

And after finished ate at jimbaran, I make use of my time to take a picture on Bali’s monument in the middle of Denpasar City called Bajra Sandhi Monument. Narcism time :p
